Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Technical Writer Editor.
**What you'll do**:
**Job Summary**
A technical writer / editor at Eaton is responsible for creating insightful and engaging knowledge articles from complex technical information. The articles are intended to help Eaton customers understand and use the products, services, technology, or concepts offered by the company. The technical writer / editor works both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, but will always aim to write articles that are clear, concise, and effective for a wide range of readers.
**Responsibilities**:
- Write, edit, and revise knowledge articles that are accurate, relevant, consistent, and user-friendly, following Eaton's style guide and best practices.
- Research, and interpret technical information from various sources, such as product specifications, user manuals, technical reports, engineering drawings, online forums, etc.
- Review and proofread content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and readability.
- Incorporate feedback and suggestions from reviewers and customers to improve the content.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and trends in the technical field and the industry.
- Drive self-service usage through the establishment of effective and accurate content (increased ratio of self-service as a % of total contacts)
- Drive employee efficiency through making technical information easily available (reduction in handled time)" #LI-DG2
**Qualifications**:
**Education level required**
- Engineering, computer science, or technical bachelor's degree
**Years and area of experience required**
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Technical Writing, technical support, software, or IT
- Technical and advanced English Proficiency Level required
