.DescriptionGeneral Summary: Under moderate supervision, a Refrigeration Technician 2 is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and examining ammonia refrigeration, and in some cases boiler and air systems. This role requires performing preventative maintenance to said systems, responding to any system interruptions, and being on call for emergency repairs. The technician must be able to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and moving around the systems. As one of our five cornerstones, this means that we go all-out to create an environment that shows we are committed to investing in employee growth and creating a culture of belonging where employees want to build a lasting career.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, and in some cases boiler and air systems; as well as Process Safety Management (PSM), is required.Supports both the PSM and Refrigeration team to maintain and retain all PSM, Refrigeration, and Safety documentation (SOPs, LOTO, and P&IDs).Maintains PMs for the refrigeration, and in some cases boiler and air systems.Confer with operators as well as observe, test, and evaluate the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose the root cause of malfunctions.Disassemble machinery and equipment to make repairs.Perform daily chemical testing and log all test results, adjusting as required to maintain refrigeration & utility systems within established limits.Periodic use and maintenance of fitted full-face respirator.Assists with inventory control.Regular attendance and punctuality are required due to working within a small department, as people, items, and equipment at our facilities depend on us.Other duties as assigned by management.Job Specifications:High School Diploma or equivalent is required.Technical Degree is preferred.Must have ammonia Operator I and at least 1 year of experience. Be able to perform tasks with little or no assistance and/or supervision.Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience is helpful.Required to pass and maintain annual medical and pulmonary fit tests for respirator use.English/Spanish bilingual is a plus
