OverviewThis position requires Schedule Availability :The Metrology Technician provides incoming inspection services and performs precision measurements on samples provided by SQEs or process engineers. It guarantees the data obtained and keeps the records according to the procedures. Manage tools and equipment within the laboratory as needed.ResponsibilitiesPerform dimensional studies on raw material samples or internal assemblies.Perform inspections on the drawings to verify that the specifications are according to the part to be measured.Develop incoming inspection methods, including routines on automated equipment, work instructions, and train other associates or quality inspectors as required.Provide or coordinate internal calibration service and coordinate external calibration of equipment.Maintain the PM database.Perform administrative and maintenance tasks in the department.Clean and maintain testing facilities.Other tasks as needed.QualificationsTechnical career completed: Degree in technologies in electronics preferred.Associates degree as metrology technician, preferred.1 - 3 years of experience with metrology, mechanical inspection, and measuring.Experience in measuring instruments such as: caliper, micrometer, height gauges, vision systems.Experience in CMM's machine operation preferred.Strong verbal and written communications skills.Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.Ability to determine methods and procedures on new assignments with little supervision.May provide guidance to other indirect or hourly personnel.Ability to work effectively within a team environment.English 60%.WHO WE AREShure's mission is to be the most trusted audio brand worldwide – and for nearly a century, our Core Values have aligned us to be just that.
