Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Under indirect supervision, inspect, repair and maintain the functional parts of mechanical equipment and machinery such as compressors, pumps, motors, etc. using hand tools, pulleys, vises, drills, lathes, as well as test equipment.Routine internal contacts to exchange information and solve issues. Occasional and limited outside contacts with customers and/or vendors. Extract and record engineering data from various prescribed processes using prescribed data collection methods, process data following well-defined methods; and present data in prescribed form. May write test procedures.Apply quality improvement process-related tools as required in problem-solving and decision-making. Participate actively in quality improvement teams.Perform preventive maintenance on facilities equipment according to preventive maintenance schedules.Install new equipment under supervisor or engineer's instructions.Participate in equipment transfer projects.Maintain a spare part inventory for PM purposes.Assemble and install new equipment following drawings and schematic diagrams.May perform an electrical installation of 120V, 440V as plumbing according to local regulations.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. List the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
