Key Accountabilities
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc.
Orders replacement parts. Inspects completed repairs.
Requisitions new parts and equipment.
Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble with use of blueprints and machine manuals.
Clean and lubricate machinery using machine documentation.
Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary. Cleans and lubricates parts.
Inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment.
Align and balance new equipment after installation
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
Assemble, install and or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, piping systems, and machinery repair.
Promote safety awareness and follows all safety standards, procedures, and policies.
Strictly adhere to all documented work procedures
Work productively and ensure timely flow of orders through the department.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
4 years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment repairing production machines or mechanical equipment.
Must show proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and the use of hand tools, power tools, and use of testing equipment such as a VOM.
Must work as part of a team within the department and production areas.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
Works under mínimal supervision.
May assist in training of new employees.
Attends training courses to improve skills to perform repairs on newer machines and equipment.
May include other responsibilities as assigned.
