**Responsibilities**:**Key Major Function**Finastra is currently seeking a Telecom Engineer to join our Telecom Engineering and Operations team.
This position is responsible for global enterprise voice and contact center solutions across Finastra.
This ole is a key enabler and will contribute to the Technology Roadmap for corporate voice and collaboration including detailed technical plan.
This will include design, implement, and break-fix duties.
**Key Responsibilities****Planning and Thought Leadership**- Key enabler to Technology Roadmap for corporate voice and collaboration including detailed technical plan- Keep up to date on evolving technologies and trends to position Finastra to deliver business enabling voice and collaboration solutions- Work with leadership to ensure aligned delivery of agreed solutions.- Lead technology and assessment of cloud-based voice technologies**Vendor & Asset Management**- Contribute to global inventory of Finastra assets.
Specifically, enterprise voice and contact center systems, licensing, and components of Cisco Unified Communications platform.- Contribute to Service Provider inventory efforts of telephony circuits, direct inward dialing (DID) and toll-free number (TFN) inventory.- Technical liaison with global and local telecom vendors to review service and support contracts with support of Telecom Engineering and leadership**Production**- Provide Tier III operations and support for global voice platform and services - includes backup of telecom systems, monitoring, disaster recovery and business- Daily oversight of system utilization, growth analysis, and capacity planning- Work with cross functional teams within IT to deliver and support ongoing maintenance activities as required.- Oversee installation, support and maintenance of production voice networks and systems- General understanding of server, AD and security design and topology- Document process to support delivery partner in performing moves, adds & changes- Provide level 3 and 4 senior on-call duties (as needed - rotational)**Technical Skills**- Expert level knowledge with the following protocols: H.323, SIP, MGCP, VoIP, Fax VOIP- Working knowledge with Verint Workforce Management platform and RightFax- General understanding of server, AD and security design and topology- Document new telephony enhancements (or existing) to ensure that IT support teams can deliver and support on-going business needs.- Knowledge of OSI model**Competencies**- 4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience (8 years working as a Telecom Engineer)- Functional planning ability, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities- Excellent oral and written communication skills, to include interpersonal relationship building- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel- Ability to work within a collaborative team to lead or contribute to the successful delivery of projects
