.**Telephonist, Operator**We are hiring a **Telephonist, Operator **who will be supporting on connecting the different departments upcoming calls.**Your activities daily will be**:- Answering and connecting calls using a computerized switchboard system- Testing lines and reporting faults- Updating directories- Taking and passing on messages- Carrying out basic administration tasks- Operates intercom equipment and / or speakers to provide information- Follows the protocols and procedures in matters of Integral Security and confidential use of information, established by the organization- Maintains equipment and work site in order, reporting any anomaly.- Maintains knowledge of the information that must be provided to users, according to the objectives of their position.- Guide internal and external users- Perform any other related task assigned to them**Who you are****Required Skills and Competencies**- High School diploma- Previous experience in telephonist- Advanced English written and spoken fluency is required- Full time availability from 8am to 5pm on-site**Preferred Skills and Competencies**- You have excellent communication skills for interaction with all levels of the organization.- Strong customer service skills are critical for success in this position.- Good hearing and a clear telephone voice- A good standard of spoken and written English- The ability to deal with difficult calls in a calm and professional manner- An awareness of confidentiality issues- Basic computer and keyboard skills- Ability to withstand monotony.- Memory capacity over numbers and words- Telephone mechanisms knowledge**Why people choose to work with us**: At Steelcase, we put people at the center of everything we do.
