The Senior buyer is a specialist and regional subject matter expert in one or more areas: 1. Services, 2. Cleaning, Gardening, Sanitization and Fumigation Providers, 3. Outsourcing, 4. Labor Taxes, 5. REPSE Law. This position requires working with over 90 plants all over Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and USA members, central HR, BU, and Finance team to identify the best suppliers in terms of service, quality, cost, and delivery for Yazaki. The ultimate purpose of this position is to improve cost and stability in all YNCA regions, including WH & ECI manufacturing operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Processing requisitions and updating management on the status of orders.Support the identification of new suppliers, services, and integration.Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating for the best price, quantities, and delivery timescales.Researching, selecting, and purchasing Competitive Canteen services.Prepare strategies for the category and subcategories.Provide expertise to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality, and delivery time.Lead improvement activities.Communicate globally (Spanish/English): verbal, written, and in person.Work independently.Develop a very high level of skill and ownership for the relevant subject.PROFILE REQUIREMENTSExpertise in Indirect Purchasing, especially services of Canteen.
Language skills: Must be bilingual - Spanish and English.
Willingness to travel frequently between plants in Mexico; international travel periodically may be required.
Ethical conduct and independent functionality (autonomy) needed.
Must be capable of driving in adherence to standards.
Practical judgment and sharp observation skills.
Energetic and enthusiastic to start new difficult projects.
Excellent oral and written communication required.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Purchasing experience (services especially).Preference for experience with Services Providers.Critical thinking and analysis skills.Responsible for making strong decisions.
