TEMPORARY BUYER SPECIALIST (4 MONTHS) POSITION SUMMARY Facility Management Temporary Buyer Canteen Specialist. The Senior Buyer is a specialist and regional subject matter expert in one or more areas: 1. Services, 2. Cleaning, Gardening, Sanitization and Fumigation Providers, 3. Outsourcing, 4. Labor Taxes, 5. REPSE Law. This position requires working with over 90 plants all over Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and USA members, central HR, BU, and Finance teams to identify the best suppliers: service, quality, cost, and delivery for Yazaki. The ultimate purpose for this position is to improve cost and stability in all YNCA regions including WH & ECI manufacturing operations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Processing requisitions and updating management on the status of orders. Support the identification of new suppliers, services, and integration. Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating for the best price, quantities, and delivery timescales. Researching, selecting, and purchasing competitive canteen services. Prepare strategies for the category and subcategories. Provide expertise to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality, and delivery time. Lead improvement activities. Communicate globally (Spanish/English): verbal, written, and in person. Work independently. Develop a very high level of skill and ownership for the relevant subject. PROFILE REQUIREMENTS Expertise in Indirect Purchasing, especially services of Canteen. Must be bilingual - Spanish and English. Willingness to travel frequently between plants; international travel may be required periodically. Ethical conduct and independent functionality (autonomy) needed. Must be capable of driving adherence to standards. Practical judgment and sharp observation skills. Energetic and enthusiastic to start new difficult projects. Excellent oral and written communication required. Career-minded individual seeking development opportunities. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Purchasing experience (especially services).
