you will do
Provides directir the successful completion of development test equipment, and to ensure compliance to production test specification requirements through development and support of process, plans and procedures.
The Test Development Engineer coordinates test strategies and develops test. Test may be manufacturing defects analyzer (MDAnctional test (FCT), vision test (VT) or support syster these developments.
Comply with the guidelines and regulations of Environmental Health & Safety.
How you will do it
Focuses on test generation and documentatir product test using standard test platforms or wholly custom test developments to provide manufacturing that meet both the production test specifications (PTS) requirements and the Benchmark manufacturing support groups requirements.
Develops proficiency on at least one platform.
Contacts and works with test component vendors.
Follows project plan and reports project status to leadership.
Assists in project proposals and associated cost estimates.
Understands and contributes, as able, to test strategy development discussions on design engineering team(s).
Performs evaluation of measurements on a tester/fixture development in accordance with a validation plan.
Creates documentation related to a tester/fixture design project.
Works with internal manufacturing support groups to understand the requirements of the production environment.
Assists with desir testability (DFT) reviews and creates necessary documentation. Works with Sustaining Test Engineering to effectively transition test to production.
Learns and begins to work with advanced technologies, (Boundary Scan, ISP, embedded test, etc.) as needed and under specific direction.
Develops an understanding of Desir Testability philosophy and promotes with customers.
Communicates with design engineering technical personnel regarding basic test issues. Communicates technical challenges and works with peers to implement. Participates in test strategy development discussions on design engineering team(s). Generate test plans, procedures, and work instructioom Production Test Specifications.
Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data results through thorough documentation processes.
Oversee several test projects simultaneously and provide scheduling support to operations Contracting and scheduling tasks with sub-contracticilities.
Validate test methods Interfaces and confers with design engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
Develops and/or modifies test programs using various languages ( NI TestStand, NI LabView,MS Visual Studio.Net, C #, etc.).
Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reporr use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
Trains and instrucoor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques.
Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing, and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.

**Education**:
Bachelors Degree in an engineering discipline (electronic, electrical, mechatronic, or directly.)
Special Knowledge:
Demonstrate ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, contract documentation, and government/industry standards and specifications.
Demonstramiliarity with data acquisition systems, data analysis and processing. Ongoing commitment to advance knowledge in testing, and standards compliance.
