Job DescriptionThe Test & Maintenance Engineer ECU (TE/BE) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) production testing processes.
This critical role involves leading a team of local technicians and ensuring the efficient implementation of High Technology Testing systems for Automotive Safety Electronics Units.
Key responsibilities include: Provide strategic leadership to a team of local technicians, ensuring optimal support for ECU production operations.Oversee the implementation and integration of High Technology Testing Systems on populated PCB and ECU level, guaranteeing seamless incorporation into existing production lines.Develop and refine specialized software, programs, and mechatronics devices essential for the successful launch of new products, with a focus on meeting stringent customer quality requirements, minimizing costs, and maximizing manufacturability.Establish and maintain rigorous process specifications to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency.Implement continuous performance improvement initiatives and cost reduction strategies within the area of responsibility, driving operational excellence and maintaining competitiveness.Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-site teams to address complex technical challenges and implement innovative solutions in ECU Testing Systems relative to ECU production processes.Ensure strict adherence to automotive industry standards and quality control measures throughout all stages of production in area of responsibility.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electro-mechanical, electrical, or electronic Engineering.Intermediate English proficiency.Experience in:Automotive IndustryA high-volume manufacturing environmentMachine diagnosticsPeople managementProblem-solving methodologiesKnowledge in:Electricity, Electronics, and PneumaticsAutomotive Quality StandardsTesting Systems in production Automatic LinesTeradyne Systems programming6 Sigma methodologiesBasic programmingCompany DescriptionContinental develops pioneering technologies and services for sustainable and connected mobility of people and their goods.
