**Main Responsibilities**:
- Plans, coordinates, performs test equipment design, testing strategy and/or analysis work for a complete project of broad scope or for a significant portion or a sub-system of a major and diverse project.
- Operates in a team environment and may act as lead person, providing leadership and suggest design solutions.
- May supervise, assign, coordinate and review the work to other engineers.
- May administrate budget for project capital and expense.
- May foster and guide other engineers in their learning/development path.
- May communicate effectively to cross functional team members and leadership about projects progress.
**What Skills You Need**:
- Evaluates possible design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance. This may include possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel.
- Compiles and furnishes necessary information (engineering decisions and reports of pertinent design analyses data) to document the design solution required for building of prototypes and adoption of the design with possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel.
- Ensure PDP process compliance on testing projects for product verification and validation.
- Provides technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations.
- Analyzes assignments and determines engineering specifications which must be fulfilled for complex problems or projects of moderate scope.
- Delivers open, timely and assertive communication upwards and downwards the organization.
- Leads in resolution of product-line based difficult technical issues within the company.
- Possesses project management skills (timeline design and completion, qualification gates, resource administration, etc.).
- Develops others by fostering learning and incremental challenges.
- Influences the team on goals completion and accountability.
**What Makes You Stand Out**:
- Technical skill and knowledge in a specialized area of engineering, e.g., design, analysis, test, evaluation, etc.
- Skill in using company information systems and processes.
- Knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice as well as product knowledge.
- Understanding of engineering principles as they relate to the company product.
- Knowledge/familiarity with PCBA/electronic device manufacturing.
- Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and/or Enterprise Technology Development process (ETDP).
