BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a Tester Engineer at our SLP PDS Plant in Mexico.
In this role, and under direct supervision of the Engineer Cordinator, the Tester Engineer will be primarily responsible to develop and efficiently support measurement and testing equipment in manufacturing processes, as well as in new projects, whose result is the fulfillment of organizational objectives and the preparation of proposals for improvement of processes and equipment applied.
Key Accountabilities-Manage the software required for test equipment.
Manage appropriate program backups on test computers.
Coordinate with the area of Manufacturing Engineering and Control, actions for the optimization of equipment, as well as their safety.
Participate in both corrective and preventive actions against problems in the maintenance area.
Statistical study and analysis of measurement and testing equipment to detect failures and reflect improvement results.
Updating of control systems in measuring equipment.
Manage measurement parameters according to specifications.
Verify compliance with the different steps of the production processes defined through the systems logic.
Maintain current measurement and testing equipment.
Make an annual endorsement of the teams under your charge.
Qualifications- Education: Industrial Engineer in Electronics, Engineer in electronics, Instrumentation or related career.-
- Time of experience in similar position: 2 years or more in similar position.-
- Technical knowledge required: Electrical Testing, Automation, PLC Programming, Labview Programming, Data Analysis, Measurement Equipment Management, Equipment Calibration, Communication Protocols, Manufacturing Processes, Quality Systems, Industrial Electronics, Basic Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Statistical Process Control.-
