The ADAS Embedded Software team requires an experienced SW engineer with vast experience analyzing requirements, developing and debugging code by many means, understanding hardware architecture, hardware communication protocols, complex software development topics.
Our software engineers actively work in teams to create and update software components of Driving Assistance products that are being developed or already are in production or commercial use.
Our engineers are part of a multidisciplinary and global community responsible for the design, integration and maintenance of Continental products using the AutoSAR framework with presence in several software components such as diagnostics, error handling, communications, cybersecurity, memory management, power management in electromagnetic radars and/or vehicle control systems.
Additional responsibilities
- Develop embedded sensor software to meet product requirements
- Planning and organizing test commitments and activities for specific projects
- Maintain correspondence with multiple engineering teams, both national and foreign.
- Develop sustainable software and support other teams in charge of its verification
- Maintain a thorough understand of customer and product requirements
- Be part of the technical development of other engineers by training them or helping them to understand the technical needs of our products
- Breakdown technical topics and requirements to provide guidance to younger engineers on how to perform their work effectively
- Follow the Continental development life cycle process, including development and QA activities
**Qualifications**:
Basic Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
- Demonstrated proficiency at reading and implementing general code with C/C++ programming languages
- Fluent communication in English (TOEIC 900+)
- 3+ years of experience developing low-level/embedded software
- Willingness to work on different sensor products, and serve many different roles to fill department needs
- Availability to travel internationally or domestically, approximately 10% of time may be spent in other locations
- Self-motived, with an ability to work within a team or autonomously
- Experience working with intercultural teams leading the communication between sites
- Experience coaching/guiding younger engineers
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience developing automotive embedded software
- Experience working with CAN protocol and Vector tools.
- Understanding of and experience working with DOORS
- Experience using Vector CANoe and Lauterbach Trace32
- Demonstrated experience working in AGILE methodologies
- Expertise on supporting the adoption of new projects at the workplace
