- Assemble or disassemble molds in a neat and orderly fashion, holding to the highest standard of quality while working in a timely manner - Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications and make adjustments as necessary - File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit them together - Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools - Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects - Perform maintenance on close tolerance injection molds when needed - Assist other tooling personnel with projects, when necessary, to achieve on time delivery commitments - Know status and whereabouts of details on the floor at any given time - Adhere to schedule for work priorities and utilize checklist for detail instructions - Check that all operations are complete for critical frame dimensions and - Complete mold inspection check list - Notify management of any problems or delays that will impact the company's ability to support established goals - Keep work area clean and organized - Follow all safety procedures - Assist in training and advising apprentice
