Job OverviewTE Connectivity's Mold Makers apply knowledge of mold design and construction to the construction, conditioning, modification, repair and maintenance of injection and transfer molds, gauges, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures. In some instances, they may fabricate new molds by analyzing blueprints, sketches, models and engineering or shop specifications. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
What your background should look like:Associate's Degree in Toolmaking or related field is preferred.Knowledge of AUTO-CAD is preferred.Understanding of metallurgy.Advanced knowledge of milling machines, surface grinders and related shop equipment.Advanced knowledge of precision measurement devices.Advanced knowledge of tool design and understanding of fit and function of mold components.Understanding of Plastics.Understanding of Mold Tooling.Excellent math skills including a working knowledge of trigonometry which includes roll dimensions and compound angles.Must be able to work with minimal supervision.CompetenciesValues: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork
