Resumen de Posición:
Utilize CAD software to develop 2D or 3D prints, collaborating with manufacturing and design personnel to develop tools, improve processes for the Nogales Site. Process continuous improvement requests to design or assist with process improvement. Offer technical assistance to quality assurance or manufacturing personnel.
Responsabilidades Esenciales:
- Perform all engineering activities related to the design and construction of new tools and modification of existing tools for aerospace composites manufacturing.
- Responsible for working with personnel throughout the company to help resolve any engineering related tooling issues that may impact the manufacturing delivery schedule.
Document findings, communicate results, make technical presentations, and may represent the organization as the prime technical contact on tooling related projects.
- Investigate manufacturing problems and recommend corrective action.
- Develop and maintains Tool Design and Drawing Standards.
- Study specifications and confer with engineering and shop personnel to resolve design
problems related to material characteristics, dimensional tolerances, service
requirements, manufacturing procedures, and cost of tools.
- Prepare models, drawings, engineering changes, and specifications.
- Facilitate project updates to management, and engage frequently with engineers.
- Interface daily with many departments at various technical and management levels.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve tool manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, thermal coefficients, fabrication processes, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Estimate tool production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide
information for management decisions.
- Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing
capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate tool
production or procurement.
Requisitos del Puesto:
**EDUCATION**: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Design, Mechanical Engineering.
**EXPERIENCE**:
***10+ Years in manufacturing environment positions.
**ADDITIONAL**
**KNOWLEDGE**: Experience in aircraft composite fabrication and assembly processes, Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophies and tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Excellent Organizational Skills and problem-solving skills. Strong team player. Excellent computer skills, word, excel and PowerPoint. CAD advanced experience (Solid Works but any CAD
experience acceptable). Ability to read, interpret and create engineering drawings. Knowledge and experience with AS9100. Experience with manufacturing based ERP systems. Proved knowledge of GD&T
