.TE Connectivity's Tooling Teams perform the manufacturing functions related to metal working dies and tool making. They are responsible for completing all assignments to construct, modify and condition metal working dies and may fabricate new gages, cutting or forming tools and fixtures by analyzing blueprints, sketches, models and engineering or shop specifications. They perform precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions; recommend revisions in design and/or substitutions in material based on machinability or fabrication problems encountered; and solve problems relating to unusual materials, machine settings, fabrication methods, and production process. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.**What your background should look like**:**_Responsibilities:_**- Provides direct supervision to subordinate supervisors or a team of highly skilled and experienced individual contributors.- Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups, normally involving exchanging or presenting information.- Has some authority for personnel decisions e.G., hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.- Receives predetermined work assignments and determines the process(es) by which to meet them.- Works on issues of limited scope.- Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.- Mentoring skills.- Requires deep knowledge of own area of functional responsibility/accountability.- Determines best course of action to meet schedules and resolve problems.- Decisions impact work unit operations.- Provide technical support to his team when complex issues come up.- Stablish annual objectives for him and his team with frequent follow up in a one: one meetings.- Able to determine training gap in his team and provide knowledge or look for externa support to increase their abilities.**_Requirements:_**- 5 + years of experience in repair, diagnosis, and design of plastic injection molds.- 5 + years of experience with multi-cavity molds and high complexity,- 5 + years of experience and handling of small plastic parts (small connectors) Desirable- Experience in mold transfer projects.- Experience and management of new projects (Review of previous molds before manufacturing, review of 3D drawings, implementation, validation and cycle compliance).- Experience managing International and National suppliers for spare tooling.- Interpretation of 2D and 3D drawings.- Experience and management of CAD Software (CREO Desirable)- Experience in implementation of preventive routines based on number of shots (Not by time)- Advanced English level- Bachelor's degree completed.- Experience in sampling of molds, resins, validations, new products, etc.- Management of Excel and Office packages with medium or high level
