.**TOOLING ENGINEER****JOB DESCRIPTION**:The Tooling Engineer is responsible for Managing and assisting in the development of technical high standards injection mold class 101 for cosmetics packaging products, mold design, construction, debugging, process development, and qualification. Working under the guidance of the Molding Manager, assisting assigned member committees by providing technical and operations guidance, timely and accurate standards customer satisfaction. The role is also responsible for molds already launched for production which need opportunities to improve and duties as scrap reduction, chronic issues, etc. Tracks data associated with projects assigned. Reports any inconsistencies and uses standard repair procedures. Participate in development programs with part and mold design reviews as they relate to Design for Manufacture (DFM)/ Design for Assembly (DFA) and mold configuration.**RESPONSIBILITIES**- Manage various aspects of mold development including, but not limited to; design reviews, fabrication and qualification related to prototype and production molds.- Act as a tooling lead by participating in part design reviews as they relate to feasibility, tool viability and RFQ preparation.- Act as a primary point of contact between the department and tooling vendors.- Development of program driven mold specifications and solicitation of quotes from tooling vendors. Preparation of purchase requisitions and order placement within the purchasing systems.- Provide tooling cost estimates in support of assigned.- Development and maintenance of tooling construction timelines in MS Project.- Manage integration of customer expectations/requirements in the areas of mold design, cavitation, prototyping and Moldflow analysis.- Assist with mold supplier evaluations for the Approved Supplier List.- Manage tooling designs conform to HCP established standards to match for existing machines.- Support development of part handling and metrology requirements and the requisite tooling and fixtures.- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.**QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES**:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering.- Steel properties for injection molds, blow molds and Stretch molds.- 5 years' experience on this position or related tooling (injection, Blow & Stretch).- Ability to work in a large, global corporate structure.- Ability to solve problems, take responsibility and deliver good results.- innovation and strong commitment to excellence.- Fluency in English and Spanish required (read, write, and speak).- MS Office for professional reports and presentations, Project desired for timelines.- Proficiency in drafting tools in 3D software design such as with SolidWorks, Catia, Unigraphics or others.- CAM experience as Master Cam, Works Cam, Cimatron- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, good presentation, and interpersonal skills
