As Trade Compliance Analyst you will be responsible for maintaining and updating compliance documents to reflect current regulatory requirements and updating Annex 24 to contribute to Open balance's reduction.
The Analyst is responsible for engagement delivery, customs compliance and quality, productivity and report management, and exception management, ensuring import and/or export operations operate smoothly and are in compliance with the Mexican customs regulations.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Responsible for being in compliance with reporting management including among others:Open Balance report (Monthly)Keep customs software updated (Annex 24)Comply with policies and procedures that affect the business.
Assist in providing training, advice, and guidance to other internal areas as necessary.Revision of modifications EATON part numbers (MFG- software Annex 24)Have the temporary fixed asset inventory under control.Analyze the following reconciliations:Reconciliation of inputs and outputs vs ERPReconciliation of inputs and outputs vs DATA STAGE(SAT)Reconciliation CTM'sStay up-to-date with the Law and other customs regulations applicable to import and export trade operation.Perform activities observing the compliance of the Mexican Customs Law and Customs Regulations:Accurate open customs balanceImplement new import/export rules published at any time by the authorityAccurate & timely processing of virtual import/exports operationEnsure the proper control of waste managementIdentify situations and events where formal communication is necessary; work with others to consider communication approaches; assist in the development of messaging.Minimum RequirementsThe ideal candidate possesses these skills:4-5 Years experience in a similar roleDegree qualification in foreign trade or related disciplineWorking Knowledge of MRP / ERP system as a plus – GTS SAPProficiency in Customs Law, Origen Law, Anexo 24, NAFTA, Local custom law, TLC, C-TPATIMMEX – PROSECForeign Trade Inventory Control or in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred able to work additional hours as required.Self-starter/Highly motivated.Able to work independently from supervision.Team player, able to work in a close team setting.Possess excellent organization skills.Possess exceptional analytical skills.Able to work within tight time constraints.Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14000 Environmental.Experience in trade management performing compliance in the areas of import regulations, corporate policies and best management practices
