Create a collaborative relationship with the GTC team members to create alignment on trade compliance related programs, projects, and operations.Duties are listed in order of greatest importance. The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.Enter Responsibilities/Essential Duties- Trade compliance specialist is responsible and accountable for implementation of trade compliance regulations and policies globally. Trade compliance specialist has an authority to approve or hold import/export transactions, and block transactions, that are not in compliance with global or local trade compliance laws, regulations or policies- Provide assistance and back up to Haemonetics GTC Supervisor on all trade compliance related programs, projects and operations- Classify goods, software, data, and technology for import/export transactions. Maintain Haemonetics foreign trade data classification approved databases, including HS codes, Country of origin, ECCNs, license determination, and other applicable foreign trade data. Create and maintain a lean process for classifying products and parts. Accountable for complete and correct classification and record keeping to support correct foreign trade data in Haemonetics databases and on export/import documentation- Screen transactions and parties against proscribed party lists, end user, end use, be able to identify transactions with sanctioned and embargoed parties and destinations, request appropriate licenses, and escalate non-compliant transactions to a global trade compliance manager.- Determine government agency regulatory requirements to import/export goods, software, data and technology. Facilitate obtaining import and export licenses and permits. Ensure products have proper regional government agencies data and autorization for export/import clearance. Track shipments and assure proper customs clearance.- Generate reports that monitor and measure applicable trade compliance KPIs.- Evaluate and implement trade compliance automated solutions.- Work cross-functionally with internal departments, including logistics and transportation, procurement, legal, quality, regulatory, service, finance, sales and marketing. Support relationship with transportation/freight forwarding service provides, including domestic and international suppliers- Assist with Customs and other government agency inquiries, support audits. Maintain knowledge of global trade compliance government regulations and updates
