**Job Description**:
Under general direction, responsible for best practices and forging trade legal compliance in day-to-day export and import operations. Develops compliance procedures and record keeping program. Monitors and leads import and export practices to ensure full compliance with regulations. Provides expert assistance with import and export documentation. Manages classification database and product classifications related to the Harmonized Tariff System, Export and Import Control Classification Numbers. Facilitates product qualification under the various Free Trade Agreements. Works with corporate compliance, applicable divisions and departments, external brokers, agents and attorneys to resolve internal foreign trade and customs compliance issues. Resolve clearance issues as required. Support in monitoring and measure Broker performance. Solid understanding of Import and Export Compliance rules and regulation regarding Annex 24, Annex 30, IMMEX, PROSEC, CIVA, Virtual Operation, Scrap, Fixed Asset, HTS, CTPAT, AEO etc., including, but not limited to the Export Administration Regulations and U.S. Customs Regulations. Annex 24 Inventory Control System and updating and legal compliance regarding Annex 30. Virtual Operation and Scrap disposal. Legal stay of fixed assets. Ensure compliance according IMMEX, PROSEC, OEA and CIVA programs and certifications. Foreign and Customs Trade Compliance Standard Processes, KPI´s Knowledge and maintenance of compliance percentage of more than 80% of each of one.
Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Solid understanding of Import and Export Compliance rules and regulation (annex 24, Annex 30, IMMEX, PROSEC, CIVA, Virtual Operation, Scrap, Fixed Asset, HTS, CTPAT, AEO etc.), including, but not limited to the Export Administration Regulations and U.S. Customs Regulations.
