Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Trade Compliance Supervisor. What you'll do: PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Ensure the effective Maquila Program management, avoiding Customs and Fiscal risks for Eaton, including material, information and technology. Responsible for maintaining and updating compliance documents to reflect current regulatory requirements and procedures to monitor all the obligations to maintain certifications such as CIVA, AEO, etc., as well as reporting metrics or KPIs of their operation in charge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Responsible for the temporary inventory management of Eaton & Eaton Cummins.KPIs & Monthly reports.Temporary inventory conciliations a month.Ensure the data integrity of the trade compliance process.Responsible for ensuring full compliance with New Customs Regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classifications USA/Mexico, Free trade agreements, etc.Monitor the import/export of raw materials, finished goods, equipment, scrap, non-productive material, excess and obsolete (E&O) operation on a monthly basis.Perform audits to the annex 24 (Interfaces, Operation's Report, I/E Modules, BOM's, Product Values & Costs, Country of Origin, USMCA Certificates or Manufacturer Affidavit, Duty Payments, Eight Rule, Prosec's) and maintain this info updated in the system.Inventory reconciliation between Annex 24 and ERP: cycle counts, receiving discrepancies, inventory adjustments, company losses, perpetual inventories, company sales.Provide all documents or information to attend Customs audits from SAT as well as internal customs audits from Eaton Internal Audit team or Peer Reviews Audits.Analyze issues – identify relevant issues and all the impacts or problems related using accurate logic in analyses.Manage Execution – Identify responsibilities; delegates and empowers others, removes obstacles; allows for and contributes needed resources.Continuous improvement - identify gaps in the processes and coordinates work efforts when necessary to make relevant improvements. Projects execution.Control customs duties avoidance.Ensure compliance with Mexican Customs, Mexican Governmental Agencies and Foreign Laws.Inspection at Origin. Customs assignation to Inputs and differences.Maquila IVA certifications supports.Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.Promotes the company's mission by actively supporting Eaton's safety and values as well as quality policies.Provide accurate information to GTM VAT team related to the VAT certification including assistance to fix deviations on the temporary inventory.Annual IMMEX, PROSEC reports.Provide data and assure the INEGI monthly and annual reports submission.Annual Tax-Fiscal report (DIOT, DIEMSE).Sub-manufacturer report.Cost-Submission Annual Report.GTM Mexico monthly report.Motivate employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.Support internal & external customs audits, i.e. SAT, CBP, Peer Reviews, Customs firms, Quality Systems, etc.Comply with all Eaton Training program.Supporting all Eaton Certifications such as MESH, Industria Limpia, etc. Qualifications: SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
Degree qualification in foreign trade or related discipline.At least 3-5 years in Foreign Trade Inventory Control or in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred.Senior expertise knowledge in Customs procedures and compliance.Leadership.Possesses Effective Communication Skills.Working Knowledge of MRP / ERP system as a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel audit formulas).USMCA, C-TPAT, Economic Authorized Operator.Mexican programs to reduce duties as PROSEC, Rule 8va.HTS Classification skills.US Customs regulations. Skills: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
