Smith & Associates is looking for a Trading Assistant to join our Guadalajara team. Once you join this team, you will become acquainted with our core values that define Smith. With a reputation of 40 years of excellence, Smith & Associates is leading the way in electronic component distribution. Our diverse portfolio of pieces can be found in consumer electronics, medical devices, solar, and aerospace and defense. Our 18 offices range from Silicon Valley, New York City, Munich, Shenzhen and Shanghai, with hubs in Amsterdam and Hong Kong.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide support to key accounts and customers by setting up new customers and creating/entering new purchase orders.
- Work alongside various teams such as the purchasing team for sourcing and pricing, the sales team for reporting and the operations team for shipping.
- Validate and update Smith´s internal CRM system
- Conduct market industry research
REQUIREMENTS
- At least one year of experience in the industry
- Bachelors in international trade, business administration or a related field
- Fluent in English (both conversational and written)
- Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior administrative support experience preferred
- Tech Savvy
