Job Summary:The Traffic Coordinator will oversee and manage cross-border transportation operations for imports and exports between the United States and Mexico.
This role involves coordinating shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, optimizing logistics, and maintaining smooth communication with carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cross-border logistics, knowledge of Mexican and U.S. customs procedures, and a proactive approach to resolving transportation challenges.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with customs brokers or freight forwarders in Mexico (+3 Years experience).Knowledge of bonded warehouses and Maquiladora operations (IMMEX 24).Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of INCOTERMS and cross-border transportation requirements.Proficiency in logistics software WMS, transportation management systems (TMS), or ERP platforms.Familiarity with regulations and customs processes.Proficient in Outlook & Office.Knowledge in USMCA, CTPAT.Key Responsibilities:Schedule and coordinate the movement of goods across the U.S.-Mexico border for imports and exports.Ensure timely delivery by monitoring shipments and updating stakeholders.Maintain strong relationships with service providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable shipping.Ensure all shipments comply with U.S. and Mexican customs regulations.Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.Collaborate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth clearance.Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, customers, and external vendors regarding cross-border shipments.Address and resolve any delays, discrepancies, or issues during transit.Maintain accurate records of shipment schedules, invoices, and customs filings.Troubleshoot logistical challenges such as customs delays, transportation disruptions, or compliance issues.Proactively implement solutions to avoid recurring problems.Skills:Strong understanding of Mexican and U.S. customs regulations.Proficient in preparing import/export documentation.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.Leadership and logistics skills to coordinate with the team.Strong communication skills.Bilingual, fluent in English.Working Place: Tijuana B.C.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule: DaytimeEducation:Completed Bachelor's degree (Preferred).Experience:Bonded warehouses and Maquiladora operations (IMMEX 24): 3 years (Preferred).INCOTERMS and cross-border transportation requirements: 3 years (Preferred).Software WMS, TMS, or ERP platforms: 3 years (Preferred).Knowledge in USMCA, CTPAT: 3 years (Preferred).Valid Visa and Passport: 1 year (Preferred).Language:Bilingual, fluent in English (Preferred).Work Location: On-site#J-18808-Ljbffr
