You will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operations of the Transportation department. You will provide guidance to ensure operations are completed correctly, efficiently and on time.RESPONSIBILITIES:The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:- Leading and training team members- Communicating with employees and branches- Monitoring the effective and efficient daily operations of the Traffic department- Maintaining files, documents, paperwork and data entry- Managing budgets and performance metrics- Complying with safety regulations- Operate a Fastenal vehicle and run truck routes, Non-CDL and/or CDL, as neededREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:- 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work- Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed- Prior administrative/customer service experience OR industry experience and product knowledge- Proficient written and oral communication skills- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities- Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented- Work independently as well as in a team environment- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency- Willingness to work a flexible schedule- Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork- Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs- Ability to speak fluent Spanish and EnglishPREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:- Possess or are currently in progress of obtaining a Commercial Driver's License- Possess a current Health Card OR have the ability to obtain one- Possess a current Haz Mat endorsement OR have the ability to obtain one- Possess a valid United States VisaABOUT US:Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
