**Traffic Specialist**
**A Snapshot of Your Day**
The traffic specialist is responsible for transport coordination and follow-up to import and/or export process, from origin to destination of our materials through the interaction between the different internal areas, customers and suppliers of our business unit.
**How You'll Make an Impact**
- Monitoring of import and export procedures: Coordinate the logistics services and expedite with customs agents and forwarders the processing and issuance of import and export documents, as well as the preparation of documents to procced.
- Tracking of shipments and evaluate performance to establish action plan & corrective actions to assure that all the requirements are met.
- Coordinate international inbound traffic.
- Coordinating and auditing the billing process for each service.
- Coordinate all domestic traffic and material transportation.
- Support to the customs area to identify materials and documents related.
- File damage freight claims to ensure cost recovery and take corrective action with carrier.
- Participate to the freight budget planning construction annually.
- Approval of invoices from transport companies and customs agents: You must authorize invoices from transporters and customs agents, classifying them by project and prorating them.
- Control and monitoring of extraordinary freight, both those generated internally and by third parties, direct contact with accounting area.
Also, monthly reports for performance to freight budget.
- Focusing on the cost reduction of the services.
- Supporting to customs area to provide the information for the determination of the correct Harmonized Tariff Code for import & expo goods and origin´s certificates.
- Follow up on the transit process of materials and components from the supplier's plant to their entry into the company.
- File damage freight claims to ensure cost recovery and take corrective action with carrier.
- Monthly report of performance to freight budget and implement corrective actions if necessary.
**What You Bring**
- Bachelor´s Degree in Logistics, International Trade or related.
- 2 to 3 years of experience with logistics process import and expo.
- SAP
- Fluent English
- Availability to travel
- Excel advanced
- Experience in using transportation software.
- Demonstrated teamwork and customer orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, time management skills and risk management.
**About the Team**
The traffic specialist reports to the traffic coordinator and is involved in internal areas such as CS, Quality, Engineering, WH and finance, also with other Siemens Energy plants related to the supply chain.
Works externally with suppliers and carriers.
