- Job Overview- This post is for a school leaver (minimum age 17) to join the company as a trainee carpenter and joiner.
**Main Duties**
- Learning and developing core trade skills under the direction & guidance of experienced Maintenance Team Leaders and Tradespersons, supporting the delivery of our repairs and maintenance services whilst working towards a Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery, achieving the skills and experience to beome a fully operational tradesperson.
- Assist Trades and undertake relevant trade duties under supervision on responsive & maintenance works as requested.
- Work as part of a team and use all tools and materials in a safe manner, and as instructed.
- Required to work flexibly across the repairs and maintenance service.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, customers and managers to ensure the effectiveness of the repairs and maintenance service.
- Demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service by being polite, showing respect for customer's assets, maintaining expected standards of work, and tidying up at the end of a job.
- Follow all Health and Safety policy and procedures whilst at work and at any arranged off site work placements.
- Wearing of company branded workwear at all times, and use of all issued Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) wherever necessary.
- Full commitment to the trainee review process and complete all training required, and be capable of working independantly.
- Undertake such other duties as are commensurate with the trainee role, as may be reasonably required at the initial place of work or at other locations in the company.
- Follow written and verbal instructions in workplace and trade school environments.
- Drive vehicles and operate machinery (licensed users only).
- Complete appropriate documentation and recording information on computerised Systems as required.
