**Job Functions**:
- **Supervision of Housekeeping Operations**:
- Oversee housekeeping activities on open deck areas, including verandas, external swimming pools, and whirlpool areas.
- Supervise team members working in these locations to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and standards are upheld.
- **Training and Development**:
- Train and develop team members under your supervision, ensuring they are competent in their roles and adhere to safety and quality standards.
- **Safety and Cleanliness**:
- Maintain a safe operation on the open decks and ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of housekeeping equipment and lockers.
- **Compliance with Environmental Practices**:
- Enforce the garbage management program, particularly focusing on proper garbage separation as per environmental guidelines.
- **Maintenance Coordination**:
- Report any maintenance issues to the Assistant Housekeeping Managers promptly.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:
- Adhere to United States Public Health (USPH) procedures as outlined in The Vessel Sanitation Manual, including maintaining appropriate chemical levels in pools and whirlpools and keeping accurate logs.
- **Operational Restrictions Compliance**:
- Ensure that Port Operation Restrictions are followed during the cleaning of open decks.
- **Supervision of Pool and Water Slide Operations**:
- Monitor swimming pools, whirlpools, and water slide operations in line with company policies, ensuring they are opened and closed timely.
- **Management of Beach Towel Operations**:
- Supervise and control the beach towel operation on open decks.
- **Chemical Safety**:
- Ensure all chemicals used on the open decks are correctly labeled and safely stored.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:
- Manage the storage and securing of deck chairs when not in use and ensure the daily cleaning of channels.
- **Maintenance of Metal and Glass Surfaces**:
- Regularly inspect and maintain all stainless steel, brass, and glass areas to keep them free of salt and rust.
- **Reporting Safety Concerns**:
- Immediately inform the Assistant Housekeeping Manager of any safety issues involving guests or team members.
- **Service Excellence**:
- **Safety and Environmental Regulations Compliance**:
- Follow all relevant safety regulations, including participating in boat drills and the safe operation of required facilities (RWF). Comply with all environmental, USPH, and Health, Environment, Safety, and Security Management System (HESS-MS) procedures relevant to your role.
- **Time and Attendance**:
- Adhere to the Time and Attendance policy to ensure proper scheduling and staffing.
**Essential Skills & Experience**:
- **Experience**:
- 2 years' experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably in a hospitality setting such as hotels, resorts, or cruise ships.
- Experience supervising diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- **Knowledge and Skills**:
- Knowledge of safety protocols, including USPH standards and environmental regulations (preferred).
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- **Physical and Communication Abilities**:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in warm weather and handle physical tasks as needed.
- Excellent command of the English language.
