Job Summary:
The Training Content Developer is responsible for creating and implementing effective learning content for the Polaris Engineering team. The role demands a blend of creativity, experience in instructional design, and a solid understanding of engineering concepts and adult learning principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive learning materials such as e-learning modules, instructor-led training, job aids, and multimedia content.
- Update and maintain course quality to meet Polaris Engineering standards.
- Use multimedia technology and authoring tools for innovative training solutions.
- Collaborate with various teams to align learning content with company objectives.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of quality content.
- Set and follow through on project timelines and milestones.
- Assess training effectiveness and incorporate feedback for improvement.
- Keep ahead of instructional design and engineering education trends.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in instructional design and e-learning authoring tools (MS PowerPoint, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Storyline).
- Ability to design and deliver engaging and effective training programs.
- Skills to translate complex engineering concepts into clear, concise training materials.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Independent and collaborative work skills across global teams.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Effective time management under tight deadlines.
- Professional demeanor and customer service excellence.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Visio.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in training and development
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Instructional Design, Engineering Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing technical training programs, preferably in an engineering context.
- Knowledge of learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
- Background in Engineering and or manufacturing preferred.
- Experience with powersports or automotive fields training preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
