Job DescriptionScope of PositionEnsure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing an exceptional customer service within the Transcon Department and remaining focused on Operations, Finances, Sales, People, Systems, and Culture in adherence to the company's policy and procedures.Key DeliverablesEmployee SatisfactionParticipate in Performance Reviews & PDP every 12 months.All team members to complete 52 hour training per year (4.33 per month).All team members to complete all mandatory training timely.Service Provider ManagementEnsure to work only with 100% approved Suppliers and vendors.PU&D connectivityCultureExemplify Our Culture, Mission and Goals.Follow the 10 Critical Success Factor.Help build healthy cross-functional relationship and work environment, promote team spirit and cohesiveness in the department.Operations & ComplianceComply with company controls, policies, procedures, processes.Participate in daily huddle meetings and Supervisor meetings weekly.Provide feedback of Employee Satisfaction initiatives.Contribute to the effective weekly department meetings with team.Comply with all our policies, including the credit policy.Help action the efforts towards meeting budget.Ensure accurate and timely billing of customers and vendors.Effectively execute within the Transcon department, assisting our relentless pursuit of efficiency and operational excellence:Performance Management: Support oversight, including self-assessments and daily, weekly and monthly performance monitoring so that issues (root cause) are resolved proactively.Exception Management: Help key all exceptions to provide visibility internally (controlled) and through interacting with our customers (uncontrolled).Help identify areas to improve efficiency to offer customers better cycle times, service while improving margins.Actively participate in the optimization of systems and tools and continuously improve the efficiency, productivity and quality of the service.Make certain that client specific instructions are followed to properly process shipments and invoices.Properly use all Expeditor systems and tools, especially CFIT, ETMS, CRM, ECO.Log files correctly and timely with proper codes, trace types and events.Ensure that all correspondence within business unit is handled timely and professionally.Maintain highest compliance levels for all applicable Transcon requirements.Escalate issues to Transcon Management team timely when needed.Security, Health and SafetyInform immediately to the Branch's Health and Safety representative any unsafe condition that could put employees at risk in the workplace as well as any incident or accident, regardless of if the affected employee does not look hurtFinanceComply with all our policies, including the credit policy.Ensure accurate and timely billing of customers and vendors.QualificationsTo be the most effective in this position we are looking for the following skills and experience:High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.Preferred - 6 months to 1 year of experience in the logistic field or domestic transportation.Customer Satisfaction oriented.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels written and oral communication.Time management skills and attention to detail.Problem solving skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to multitask.Ability to complete the activities within standard procedures, guidelines and office policies.Self-driven personality and good business sense are expected.Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel applications.English and Spanish fluency.Commitment to Exemplify our culture at all times.
