As Translation Specialist you will lead a team that will be responsible of translation of information for in-vehicle digital displays to deliver translation for automotive digital components and manage its delivery across all vehicles and projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Translations or Design related. Preferably with User Experience and User Interface related.
- Experience in translations management process especially digital translations.
- Knowledge and experience in automated translations tools. Experience in Lokalise, Trados, or similar tools. Software skills are a plus, especially Git, REST services, Databases, Visual Basic Macros and XML.
- Work in a cross-functional /global role interacting with teams in different countries and different organization.
- Strong written and oral skills Spanish and English (100%) at minimum. Good level in at least one additional language.
- Project management skills, preferably Agile. Team builder skillset. Able to negotiate and propose new solutions while understanding the experience from the team.
**Additional information (Unique Skills Needed or other relevant information)**:
- Working with design specifications or designs with UI and HMI teams. Experience working with Figma, InVision or similar tools is a plus
- Knowledge of Automotive features and HMI subsystems (cluster, center stack/Sync, rear displays, physical controls). Driver assistance features knowledge or experience is a plus.
- Penchant to learn about new automotive HMI technologies in the industry. Have a customer focus mind set for different markets and countries.

- Manage the development of translation for texts in digital display vehicle components and Ford apps that better fit local market requirements.
- Work on the procurement of external services to carry out translations and localization work.
- Define requirements and rules for the definition of texts for the different display catalogs that meets Ergonomics, legibility and other requirements.
- Work with Engineering team and feature owners to understand new features and help to identify the best terminology, identify trade-offs and guide designers to incorporate local language considerations in design.
- Review documentation related to translation delivery according to Ford Program development milestones.
- Support Hardware and Software Prototyping of HMI concepts with translations and support associated customer clinics
- Support translations of impacted OTA updates.
- Ensure process discipline across the global organization on the Translations workstreams.
- Help to develop software tools to manage projects, evolve database of translations and terminologies and integrate modern tools for developers: Automated Translations tools, Translations Management Systems, etc.
- Explore and implement new technologies and tools to identify areas of opportunity to reduce the time, increase the consistency and improve translations and font delivery and quality.
