Responsibilities The Opportunity As Carrier Management Supervisor – Pepsi Logistics Company, Inc, the role will be accountable for the day to day people management of one Carrier management analyst team which interacts with drivers daily to provide tracking updates for the business.  This position will report to a the Carrier Management Analyst Manager. Responsibilities include supporting delivery of full service 3rd party logistics to drive gross revenue and profit for Pepsico through the carrier management team. Primary responsibilities of the team will be to ensure carrier quality, timely updates, and issue escalation.  This role will regularly engage with the carrier operations teams to provide best in class load tracking visibility and proactive issue resolution.  TMS System knowledge and understanding of transportation is expected along with strong ability to set day-day priorities for service leaders. Strong coordination and communication with BU partners to insure delivery of optimization and efficiency gains is expected.  Exceptional time management, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills are critical for this role. This role will additionally require building critical relationships with key team members both internally within the hub and across, inside the function and and across Business Units Your Impact
As Sr Transport Coordinator your responsibilities would consist of: This Analyst Manager role will lead a team of 12-15 Carrier management analysts who conduct 125 phone calls daily to obtain freight tracking updates.  The team will be responsible for providing best in class load tracking visibility and proactive issue resolution for the PLCI customer base. This role will support the delivery of revenue and goals by ensuring the execution of the day to day carrier operations function as well as ensuring performance metrics are achieved. Ensure the carrier management operations function continually optimizes staffing, schedules and activities that enable timely and seamless operations. Interacting daily with external vendors to effectively communicate tracking updates for our internal stakeholdersQuickly engage with business units to identify, interpret, and set mitigation plans in place to ensure shipments are tracked in an accurate and timely fashion. Understand marketplace demands through a general understanding of transportation/brokerage practices and complex system technology.Initiate innovation and development of new analytics and business processes to improve service levels, support new business, and drive efficiency.Identify areas for improvement and close efficiency gaps with in the carrier management function. Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or applicable degree required Experience 3-5+ years Operations, transportation experience preferredEnglish Fluency both written and verbal requiredPeople leadership / management experience requiredWorking knowledge of transportation and a supply chain life cycle Ability to positively influence teams outside of direct responsibility and across multiple business unitsWorking knowledge of SAP, TMS - BY solutionsAbility to influence leadership and operate in a matrix environmentCapable of leading a remote work group and being managed by a remote managerUtilize technical/functional knowledge that creates opportunities and solves business problemsProficiency using PC-based applications such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and alternate meeting technologyAbility to identify business issues and generate solutionsSelf-starter with attention to detailSolid verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple competing prioritiesIf this is an opportunity that interests you, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet 100% of the requirements.
