They need our machines, engines and parts to do the world's work.**Description**Manages the Transportation Service Provider services provided by Caterpillar contracted service providers for the shipment of Caterpillar components and machines domestically and overseas.**Job Duties**:- Coordinate problem solution in regards of Transportation services to ensure on time deliveries.- Identify, develop and administer the implementation of improved transportation methods- Manages the performance of Service Providers through Key Performance Indicators to meet cost and service expectations- Provides complex transportation analysis by utilizing specific tools. Responsible to initiate and execute transportation cost improvements within the business unit.- Maintain effective on-going relationships with external Customers such as Global Carriers, Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokerage and Air Freight Providers and.- Coordinates impact analysis and implementation of cost-effective solutions with Providers- Directly does not supervise any employees, but works with the facilities, account management and commercial groups to direct work for employees- Use tools g 6 Sigma, Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, and Process Quality.**Requirements**:- Up to $10M Ground Transportation Spend- College Degree or Equivalent Experience- Minimum 3- 5 years of experience- Experience / Knowledge Transportation, Distribution, Traffic and Supply Chain- Experience in Transportation Management Systems, PC software Skills- Bilingual English & Spanish**All qualified individuals - Including minorities, females, and individuals with disabilities - are encouraged to apply.**Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).Not ready to apply?
