.**What your background should look like**:**Responsibilities**:- Develop and maintain a predictable freight cost model that can be used to help accurate forecasting and site decision making.- Gather data and provide freight reports to track inbound and outbound standard and premium spend by region, site, carrier, lane and service type to give the team the ability to find opportunities to improve freight costs.- Develop, implement and manage logistics solutions with the goal of creating a leaner supply chain.- Work with various departments such as business development, field support and customer service, to handle complaints and ensure support plans are established to preserve long-term relationships with customers.- Ensure that vendors and business partners have a clear understanding of logistics operations requirements and guidelines, including suppliers, 3PL, warehousing, transportation and other service providers. Measure and insure they are and stay up to TE quality standards.- Serve as liaison with all internal and external partners for daily operational activities; quote, track, analyze and communicate the best transportation practices. Create and publish key performance metrics and use root cause analysis and troubleshooting for all logistics operations.- Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of customer/supplier shipping instructions and routings to ensure they are up to date.- Monitors and reports on supplier compliance to the Global Routing Guide.- Assist to expedite inbound or outbound freight, research for the best cost beneficial solutions.- Audit and resolve billing discrepancies. Interact with TE's 3rd party freight payment company to ensure proper billing, on time payment and accurate cost reporting. Approve freight invoices via an online process.- Understands internal cost centers/GL accounts and with support from TE Finance maintain rules for allocation of freight costs.- Responsible for internal communication and presentations related to key performance metrics, and project updates.- Support on specific projects, providing freight quotes for customer service, engineering, marketing, etc.- Comply with the goals set by management for performance and budget management.- Assess and promote the development of his/her staff.- Other functions as assigned by Logistics Manager.**Qualifications**:- Knowledge of CTPAT- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.- Advanced knowledge on analytics and administrative tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)- Knowledge of SAP and MFG Pro (preferably).- Understanding of key performance metrics.- Verifiable change agent and facilitator with excellent problem-solving skills and leadership.- Proven ability to work in teams with strong initiative to win.- Excellent oral and written communication and influential skills
