Conducts the execution of the transportation order conversion process, freight tendering, (freight) mode selection, load optimization, and dispatch planning within the Transportation department. Identifies and develops recommendations for process improvements, SAPTM enhancements that increase the effectiveness of the freight order conversion process.What you will do:Responsible for supervising after hours transportation movements in all district branches including but not limited to (shuttles, IBTs, outbound orders, bulk/mini-bulk, inbound fleet movements, etc.)Optimally communicates with available internal customers (Commercial teams, Planners, CSR's, etc.) in a timely fashion and pleasant demeanor to work toward common goal of servicing our customers.Follows protocol in recommending alternatives for all inbound and 3rd party logistic expediting requirements for Purchasing and Sales.Direct weekend movement of inbound, outbound, third party, STO products to meet customer requirements.Assist with the rescheduling inbound & outbound package and bulk carriers to include communicating/arranging pick-up dates with common carriers.Orders and Approves SPOT (Short Order Leadtime) Transportation capacity.Acts as liaison between departments to provide escalation during after hours and weekends.Works collaboratively with planning teams on Fridays/Mondays to ensure all loads are covered and priority freight supervised during weekends.File and resolve freight claim issues.Assist with Freight settlements: Approve freight exceptions on freight bills and purchase orders.Audits' freight bills and approves for payment.What you will need:College degree or equivalent business experience > 2 years of Transportation, Purchasing, or Operations experience.Will need to complete and become proficient in TMS training and system.Knowledge of Purchasing or Logistics processes and functions.Outstanding organizational skills.Problem solving skills.Strong technical skills.In depth SAP and SAPTM system knowledge.Excellent verbal and written communication skills - English.Great teammate with a proven record.High level of decision-making ability.Maintain customer specific data in TMS.Daily/Hourly ExpectationsFriday – Monday 08:00 – 18:00 CST#J-18808-Ljbffr
