**WHAT TO EXPECT**
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded, and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Santa Fe office, you will be responsible for supporting the Treasury operations of Gates Corporation and will report to the Treasury Operations Manager. The primary responsibilities will be to support the global cash management team with daily payments and liquidity, daily reconciliations, and the month-end accounting close process.
**Key responsibilities**:
Cash Management Support
- Facilitate cash management activities such as payment processing, cash positioning and FX back-office confirmations.
- Daily Reconciliation of bank statements in Kyriba to legacy system
- Support migration of additional treasury entities to Kyriba
- Assist in execution of bank documentation for bank account openings and closures and signature updates.
- Ensure compliance with Gates Mandate for Financial Controls and SOX compliance. Participate in and support internal and external testing and audit activities.
- Support the ongoing corporate cash management function in projects and process improvement efforts.
Global Liquidity Management
- Assist in managing inter-company loans including monthly capitalizations, interest accruals, recording interest payments and FX revaluations.
- Facilitate cash repatriation efforts per Tax and Legal parameters.
- Monitor investments and ensure compliance with investment policy.
Accounting
- Responsible for the daily accounting activities of Treasury related entities.
- Monthly accounting close process in Kyriba for treasury legal entities
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts for Treasury reporting entities. Collect supporting documentation in compliance with Gates controls and submit for review and approval. Resolve reconciling items within a reasonable timeframe and prepare data for Gates Treasury entity bank accounts.
- Process journal entries including preparation, recording, and collection of supporting documentation in compliance with Gates Mandate for Financial Controls and existing SOX Matrixes.
**ABOUT YOU**
- BS in Finance or Accounting with 2 to 4 years of specific Treasury experience.
- Experience with a treasury workstation or ERP system a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- English proficiency is a must.
- Strong team player, proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed.
- Knowledge of basic SOX controls and auditing processes and is committed to the importance of accounting standards and controls.
- Experience manipulating large volumes of data in Excel and using complex formulas, pivot tables and macros.
- Demonstrates problem solving skills and understanding of appropriate escalation points.
- Works well under pressure, effectively handles conflict and demonstrates flexibility in work style to accommodate changing priorities and fixed deadlines. Good at multitasking.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Takes responsibility for personal development.
- Self-motivated, capable of seeking quality solutions and continuously focusing on process improvements, while keeping the needs of the business in the forefront.
