About Treasury
Treasury responsibilities include capital and liquidity management including adherence and compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and be responsible for managing resources related to the funding of the different business and activities of Barclays Mexico.
Overall purpose of role
The main purpose of the Treasury analyst role is to support and assist the Treasurer with the regular activities regarding Capital, Liquidity and Funding management of Barclays Mexico, including controls and governance aspects of such activities
Key Accountabilities
Treasury Analyst will be accountable for:
- Validate the daily cash liquidity projections provided by the Back and Middle Office.
- Enrich, improve and document the daily liquidity and funding activities.
- Perform active Liquidity and Funding processes for the Mexico entities.
- Ensuring that Barclays Mexico liquidity and regulatory capital meet bank and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Work along with Risk and Finance in Capital and Liquidity management in order to meet Second Line of Defence and Finance requirements
- Implementation of key Treasury initiatives such as Transfer Pricing, Economic Funding, Collateral efficiency, etc.
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
The position will interact with a wide variety of roles inside the institution, including business and infrastructure areas.
Also the position will interact with local and global teams from different Treasury, Finance and Risk profiles.
In consequence it is required strong interpersonal skills to interact with different profiles.
The position will also act as internal leader in some projects based on the technical skills required.
Decision-making and Problem Solving
The position requires good analytics skills in solving complex problems identifying technical or practical approach.
Position also requires a good local regulatory knowledge to identify the best solution.
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
