Trim Engineer

Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

5 years Product Engineering (preferred automotive industry)

Basic Responsibilities

Responsible to identify and develops resolution for specific engineering or technical issues at plant or customer facilities as assigned to meet current and future needs. Provides engineering support to launch teams.

Provides technical direction to Designers and support personnel.

Work with the team to ensure timing and cost objectives, driving the solution of technical issues and help engineers to ensure project phase deliverables with quality on time. Escalation process experience. Utilizes best practices in engineering. Capable of communicating effectively with program and plant team and suppliers.

Major responsibilities:

- Responsible of engineering root cause analysis, support for design and development, production support at launches.
- Knowledge on drawing standards, GD&T, Stack-ups, Validation testing, FMEA, Core Tools, APQP, PPAP and re-use of components.
- Materials technical knowledge (fabric, leather, vinyl, carpets, non-woven, etc.)
- Executes analysis and support robust engineering changes to ensure proper follow up for flawless and on time implementation.
- Uses the right analysis tool for providing technical solution to program/product issues.
- Working side-to-side with a multidisciplinary team of local and foreign engineers to achieve product and program requirements compliance and criteria.
- Manage and knowledge of Design Standards, support on the release of 2D/3D design, BOM's, and all technical data related to the seat.
