In this role, you will be responsible for driving top line revenues for Hyatt's managed hotel portfolio in the Latin America and Caribbean region for the Full Service, Select Service and Hyatt Inclusive Collection portfolio. You will build programming for Hyatt's hotel sales leaders, build incentive planning for our sales population, and work closely with other top line leaders in Revenue Management, Digital, Field Marketing, etc., to optimize hotel results. You will also support ownership relations for high priority projects and interface closely with development on proforma review and alignment for commercial expectations. Critical interface with other members of the Americas commercial leadership team will be important, as will building synergy with global CS organization.A successful VP of Sales, LAC will:Lead the RVPs of Commercial and Sales Operations Function and be indirectly responsible for all employees within the LAC Sales division for all managed hotels in Full Service, Select Service and Hyatt Inclusive Collection.Liase and support when called upon with owners' relations, representing the sales function for performance discussions and strategic plans.Actively contribute to the sales strategy and collaborate internally with key vertical business units such as ALGV, UVC, Direct Channel, HSF (MICE, Leisure, Consortia), etc.Set strategic action plans for each department for the year (short term) and 2+ years out (long term): Example of departments: Compensation, Sales Related Technology, Talent Acquisition, Reporting & Data Analytics etc.Serve as the business owner of Envision and Sales related Technology, leading the implementation of the Hyatt Tech Stack for Hyatt Inclusive Collection.Ensure all systems and sales procedures comply with corporate policies and risk management guidelines.Conduct development and performance evaluations of direct reports.Collaborate with other departments in the Americas to maximize synergy and resources such as Distribution, Legal, Hyatt Sales Force and Human Resources.Serve as a resource for the VP of Commercial, LAC for various projects.Lead RVPs of Commercial to test, deploy, implement, and communicate with hotels the activities of the sales operation tactical plan.Oversee Sub-Regional Sales Training Plan, in alignment with the Americas Training team.Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.Requirements:Previous hotels sales experience – Director of Sales requiredOver 10 years of strong experience in owners' relations, fostering positive and productive relationshipsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookExperience with sales systems such as Envision, Delphi, and other CRM platformsStrong communication skills with a proactive mindsetFluent in English and SpanishExcellent problem-solving, strategic thinking and customer service skillsExceptional leadership skills, highly detail-oriented and results drivenStrong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and drive business growthStrong technical capacity with expertise in utilizing a wide range of software, systems, and tools to enhance productivity and efficiencyAbility to travel 50% of the timeAbility to manage several projects at one timeAbility to leverage all corporate and department resourcesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and comply with strict deadlinesThe position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing.
