Job Description
Responsible for manufacturing medical devices such as syringes, needles or other similar products by injection moulding and assembly of plastic components using various machines such as: Injection Molding Machine, extruders, blow moulders, and other auxiliary equipment to perform specific tasks in accordance with established standards and procedures. Ensure all activities are performed according to established guidelines within the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environmental systems. Perform preventive maintenance on machines and related equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and checking moving parts. Monitor production areas and ensure they meet health and safety regulations. Control quality during production process. Verify product specifications against design specifications. Conduct inspections at defined intervals during production process. Maintain accurate records of production processes, inventory levels, and materials used. Train new employees on the job.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of medical device manufacturing processes, especially injection moulding, assembly and packaging.
- Knowledge of automation equipment and robotics, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Understanding of Six Sigma methodology and experience implementing improvement projects.
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand geometric tolerances.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, CAD software, and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Availability to travel domestically/internationally if needed.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) language skills preferred but not required.
