Job DescriptionThe Senior Project Manager MEP (mechanical electrical and plumbing) is responsible for analyzing electromechanical and special installations, verifying that they fulfill the technical specifications of the project and Mexican legislation norms, elaborating and controlling reports, and monitoring the qualification of contractor craftsmen while recommending actions for improvement.
The MEP works with responsibilities corresponding to the pipe/mechanical disciplines and involves direct day-to-day monitoring of the work site.
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and evaluate construction drawings, technical specifications, and scope of works on site, comparing project against Mexican standards (or international standards) and client standards.Develop construction schedules and cost estimates to provide input in WBS and cost/project reviews, and support value engineering.Contribute to risk analysis and update project risks matrix.Interpret, apply, and implement safety standards and best practices.Oversee installation of process, electrical, and mechanical equipment.Conduct plant inspections of fabrication of piping and equipment, and installation.Plan and execute checkout, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.Manage work planning, scheduling, and execution.Define and review quality plans based on quality requirements.Plan and manage work for self and others.Facilitate and participate in design reviews.Understand scopes of work/drawings/documents and clarify any doubts with the contractor.Review and evaluate contractor bids in bid leveling.Communicate regularly with client operations regarding day-to-day site activities to plan stoppages and interfaces with existing buildings and systems.Prepare, issue, and present reports and attend weekly meetings as scheduled in the project.QualificationsFluent English and Spanish is required.Minimum of 10 years' experience.Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.Experience with Electric, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Automation Systems.Commissioning experience is required.PMI certification is a plus.Experience in LEED projects is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.Familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM.Additional InformationOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
