ACTIVITIES:Make decisions to ensure that the final product meets the most current customer input requirements.Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to design, develop and implement new products that meet customer requirements.Authorize and/or justify purchases for the acquisition of equipment, machinery, tools, materials, etc., necessary for the development of new products and/or models.Manage staff to carry out their activities efficiently and effectively, maximizing the budget to meet set objectives.Participate in continuous improvement and advise all departments on situations of technical conflict for the resolution of engineering problems.Coordinate activities with other departments (Production, Quality, Materials, Human Resources, Maintenance) to ensure effective implementation of new products, guaranteeing the best quality and lowest cost.Ensure that all documentation and records provide evidence that the design, validation, and verification of the design were developed, collected, archived, and maintained according to documentation requirements.Responsible for selecting staff with the necessary characteristics and capabilities for the development and proper functioning of the engineering department.Administer productive spaces and the overall plant layout effectively.Supervise or conduct research, studies, and special tests to evaluate the efficiency of new designs.Direct the engineering staff in the formulation of plans, designs, cost estimates, and specifications.REQUIREMENTS:6 to 8 years of experience in similar functions.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.Advanced English proficiency.Knowledge of manufacturing systems, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), MRP, MTM Systems, new product introduction processes, process reengineering, maintenance, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, project management, ISO, QS, Safety and health standards, etc.Strong business vision and excellent management skills to achieve multiple projects and demands on time.Leadership skills and ability to work in a team.#J-18808-Ljbffr
