.Local Furniture Outlet is a US-based furniture retailer with a focus on e-commerce. We are seeking one qualified individual to manage our shipping department. We need someone who is fluent in English, has experience in logistics, and is extremely detail-oriented that enjoys working and collaborating with others.As a smaller organization, we make a focus on finding high achieving individuals who bring positivity and sense of fun everyday.Our focus is to give our team the tools to work and think independently. With that independence, we expect a high performing individual that enjoys challenging themself as well as elevate the other team members.**Primary Responsibilities**:- Process Purchase Orders, Shipments, and Returns.- Submit Shipping Documentation.- Review shipping documentation for accuracy- Coordinate pickups.- Track shipment(s) progress.- Recognize order/shipment delays and respond quickly to get issues resolved.- Communicate with shipping partners and territory changes and pricing updates.- Communicate with billing and sales on shipment issues.- Close out any/all outstanding shipments.- Create and manage consignment and/or closeout orders.- Make sure inventory is accurate and in the correct locations.- Create return shipments.- Create replacement orders.- Schedule semi-weekly meetings with the shipping and customer service teams on current issues and/or concerns to improve performance.- Train and manage the Shipping Department.- Schedule bi-monthly training sessions with individual team members.- Make sure all shipping status reports are uploaded accurately either automatically or manually. If not, communicate with tech support to find a resolution.- Communicate with customer service on potential issues so they can inform the customer ahead of time.- Resolve escalated shipping issues.- Maximize profits by optimizing truck routes, shipments, processes, and/or carriers.- Locate and initiate communications with new carrier partner opportunities.- Create and/or update SOP's.- Perform other duties as assigned.**Requirements**:- 3 years experience managing logistics.- 3 years experience managing inventory.- Proven track record in supply chain management- Excellent problem solving skills.- Strong verbal communication: Clear English-speaking voice.- Excellent written communication: Spelling, grammar, and punctuation.- Positive attitude.- High School Diploma minimum.- Ability to maintain a professional & a courteous demeanor at all times.- Strong internet connection.- Able to work within the hours of 8 AM to 9 PM US CST.- Must be committed to a full-time job with no additional project going past 10 hours a week.- Self-starter, with the ability to work well with others using tact and diplomacy.- Ability to effectively multitask many responsibilities and projects.- Strong attention to detail.**Benefits**- Hourly + Bonus.- $250 (USD) training bonus after 90 days.- Paid time off.- Work from home
