This role in summaryAs a team member, you will be crafting experiences that will make the lives of millions of consumers around the globe a whole lot easier and delightful right in their homes! You will have the freedom to explore sound, light, graphics, written and spoken language, motion, sensors, and remote capabilities to craft a symphony for a solution. If you are excited about orchestrating such experiences, hopefully, you are able to check off most of these requirements for the role. Your responsibilities will includeCreate compelling, inspiring, and unique digital designs for Whirlpool connected home appliances and services. Work closely with the visual and motion designers. Collaborate with cross-functional global stakeholders to understand requirements and co-create thoughtful solutions. Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high fidelity prototypes. Advocate for user-centered design while having a vision for a now-near-far roadmap of implementation. Contribute to the development of our Design Systems for the different brands to create amazing user experiences. Conduct usability research to validate design solutions with users. Orchestrate multi-sensory design solutions that involve sound design, motion design, visual design, light design, impacts of sensors, the impact of remote UIs from mobile devices as well as voice UIs. Foster the future: Actively seek and share digital inspiration. Be on top of the IoT landscape to understand new innovations and to keep a check on the market trends. Minimum requirementsBachelor's Degree 3+ years of experience creating mockups / rapid prototypes, user flows, wireframes, and building user interfaces. 3+ years of experience with digital design tools including Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Abstract, Zeplin, as well as a strong understanding of Android and IOS. Experience with the human-centered design process. A portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions. It is important to submit your portfolio with your resume to continue the process. Preferred skills and experiencesMaster's degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Ability to design seamlessly between the physical and digital experiences. 3+ years of relevant industry experience. Ability to lead and ideate products from scratch and improve features, all with a user-centered design process. Skills in communicating and influencing product design strategy. Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for multiple platforms and modalities.
