WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING The Value Stream Manager (VSM) provides leadership and direction for the assigned Value Stream within CPI. The responsibility is to make sure that value is generated for the customer in terms of products and services. Also, this position is responsible for the performance of the Value Stream's entire supply chain with respect to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth. The Shift Manager, Quality Leader, Buyer/Planner, Operations Engineer and Industrial Engineer report to Value Stream Manager.
The VSM will have a direct impact on our business group, responsible for: · * Ensure that the Value Stream is operated with the necessary security by providing the resources and equipment in addition to ensuring compliance with the corresponding Regulations. As well as evaluating and recommending profitable improvements and initiating capital equipment applications. · * Manage the Shift Managers of your Value Stream, Quality Leader, Buyer /Planner, Operations Engineer and Industrial Engineer to achieve the company's goals. · * Participate in the weekly and monthly SIOP process for assigned Value Streams. Based on production, (a) determine the daily production rates for value stream /playbooks), (b) determines the amount of personnel (Direct Labor) for the value stream (depending on the standard job and playbook required). · * Maintain visual controls (KPI and performance board) in the assigned value stream and ensure that they accurately reflect key problems, root causes through appropriate analysis, and containment, corrective and systematic actions. · * Develop and maintain the future state of Value Stream and FFV (Future Factory Vision) through Kaizen, JDI and projects documented in the Roadmap CI · * Work closely with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing support areas, finance and other functional areas, as well as with customers and suppliers to meet or exceed customer needs. · * Identify and develop key employees through the IC (Intellectual Capital) process. Conduct performance assessments to ensure that employees who deserve it are recognized and that underperforming employees are given the direction required to improve their performance. Initiate disciplinary action as necessary and responsible for hiring/dismissal decisions. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Qualifications and Requirements · * Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or equivalent · * English Level: Advanced · * Desirable Experience: * Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain processes. · * Desirable knowledge: lean philosophy and tools as well as development and implementation strategies. Analytical, problem-solving/decision-making skills; ability to make timely, effective and fact-based decisions. Strong project planning and organizational skills. Proven leadership skills, including previous experience in first- and second-level manufacturing supervision. Ability to effectively organize several different functions, establish levels of responsibility, delegate appropriate authority, and review subordinates' work and performance in a way that leads to efficient performance and high morale. Competent in the use of Word and Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills, to include presentation skills and group facilitation for deliverables.
