**About the role**:
DNV is seeking a Verification Engineer in Energy Systems and will have a special focus on implementation in the Region of North America.

The position will be based out of any of our DNV offices in Mexico.

**What You'll Do**
- Perform verification assessments of oil and gas equipment and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Evaluate design documentation, specifications, and test results to verify adherence to applicable codes
- Create comprehensive verification plans outlining the scope, methodologies, and acceptance criteria for different projects
- Collaborate with project teams to align verification activities with project timelines and milestones
- Identify potential risks associated with the design and implementation of oil and gas projects
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the overall safety and reliability of the systems
- Engage with clients to understand their specific requirements and expectations for verification activities
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients on compliance issues and best practices
- Stay abreast of industry regulations, codes, and standards relevant to the oil and gas sector
- Ensure that verification processes align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes for verification activities
- Conduct audits to verify that verification processes are consistently applied and meet company and industry standards
- Generate comprehensive technical reports documenting verification activities, findings, and recommendations
- Maintain accurate records of verification processes and outcomes for future reference and auditing purposes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, project managers, and clients, to facilitate effective communication and integration of verification activities
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the verification workflow
- Implement lessons learned from previous projects to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of verification processes
- Provide training and mentorship to junior verification engineers or other team members
- Share knowledge and best practices to build a strong and competent verification team
- Act as Bid Manager for upcoming Opportunities
- Act as Project Manager for simple and regular projects

**About you**:
**What Is Required**
- Education: B.S. or greater in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering
- Accreditations such as API, ASNT, AWS/CWI, NACE, or from Regulators: EMA/ASEA/CRE
- Years of related experience: 5 in verification services for the Oil & Gas Industry
- Technical competencies:

- Microsoft Excel and Word, strong technical writing skills, problem-solving, critical thinking, ability to pick up technical concepts quickly
- Behavioral competencies:

- Attention to detail, internally driven/motivated, hard-working, strong social skills, professional presence, often takes the initiative independent of direct instruction
- Ability to work on a team effectively and efficiently, but also be able to show effectiveness when working individually
- Ability to handle fast-paced, high-demand environments with strong stress management skills
- Actively seeks opportunities to help team members with demanding project schedules and expectations
