Working as a key member of the senior management team, the role contributes to the success and the profitability of the country by building and maintaining a workforce that is skilled, motivated, capable and committed to delivering country ´s strategies for all businesses (Retail, Corporate and Commercial Banking, Microfinance, Insurance, Wealth Management and GBM) and support functions, throughout the subsidiaries within the Group Scotiabank. ResponsibilitiesLeads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.Actively participates as a strategic partner and advisor to senior management team in Mexico, contributing to the development of short- and long-term strategies; takes a lead role in determining the major HR implications of those strategies, balancing business perspective with the needs of individual employees and alignment with the Bank's and HR objectives.As an integral member of the Senior Management Team, act as the Business Unit ´s Consultant/Advocate to this group, providing advice and counsel in the development of the annual HR Strategy / Business Plan and in the development of companywide programs and initiatives. Incumbent will actively influence decisions affecting the business and support areas which he/she represents.Defines and develops the Mexican HR strategy and corresponding tactical execution plans to ensure alignment with the values and HR philosophies and achievement of the Bank ´s overall goals.
