Visualization Intern - Labels (Independent

Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is looking for a Visualization Intern to assist in various parts of plots in 2D and 3D.
The Visualization team is a small but experienced group of people who work on some of the most visual aspects of Wolfram Language.
As a Visualization Intern, you will be extending the labeling features to more visualization functions.
This will involve exploring different methods of labeling structures, possibly developing new approaches, and figuring out automatic ways of positioning labels in useful and attractive ways.
**Responsibilities**- Leveraging existing functionality to add labels to plots- Deriving new methods and algorithms for placing labels in 2D and 3D- Automating all of the above to establish easy workflow for labels in plots**Required skills**- Strong mathematical ability- Basic familiarity with Wolfram Language or similar programming languages- Good written and spoken communication skills- Good attention to detail**Preferred skills**- Advanced knowledge of Wolfram Language- Experience in optimization, image processing and/or 3D graphics**Location**: RemoteWolfram is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at its company.
