.The Vice President Operations is responsible for creating long-term strategic manufacturing plans as well as leading and ensuring the execution all matters relating to material and production control, process improvement, quality, capacity, and planning for all locations. They will evaluate all existing systems, processes, and metrics with a view to recommending and then implement continuous improvement mechanisms and disciplines which will minimize production costs and waste while maximizing production quality and throughput.No less important, the Vice President Operations will achieve these results by cultivating positive relationships across the organization while nurturing a culture of excellence.Reporting to this role are the manufacturing site operations directors, continuous improvement director, and advance manufacturing engineering director.**Duties & Responsibilities**:- Work closely with the leadership team to develop and lead our manufacturing growth strategy including capacity expansion, improving responsiveness, top quality, and reduced cost in a safe, healthy and employee engaged work environment.- Measure and deliver on operational commitments.- Direct the establishment and implementation of annual operational objectives for production, with overall accountability for production growth, margin improvement, financial performance, KPI's, and customer satisfaction.- Develop effective processes, procedures, and metrics as per strategic plan initiatives.- Reduce costs and improve efficiencies by optimizing and establishing manufacturing standards including labor and materials.- Review production costs and product quality, and modify production and inventory control programs to ensure profitable operations- Recognize production problems and/or problems related to finished goods and take corrective action to continually reduce rework expenditures- Establish and maintain a positive labor/management relationship that is committed to the delivery of quality products, as ordered, on time, every time.- Control labor costs by effectively locating people and business where needed.- Proactively implement workforce changes etc. to maintain and improve efficiency and meet production demands- Monitor quality control throughout the production cycle. Ensure product quality meets company standards at each point of the operation.- Establish plans and maintain records for effective inventory and production control for inventory, performance, and other necessary purposes- Achieve company goals and objectives.
